United Kingdom

The United Kingdom has served as the setting for famous films such as The King’s Speech (2010) and Bridget Jones’s diary. Places in DerbyshireLincolnshire, and Kent were used in recorded scenes of Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen. In London specifically, you can find the colorful neighborhood of Notting Hill where the famous comedy starring by Julia Roberts was filmed. Also in the capital, you can walk through Baker Street and look for the number 221B where Sherlock Holmes lived, or visit the Old War Office which appears in James Bond movies. For the Harry Potter fans, an essential stop is platform 9¾, at King’s Cross station, and the Warner Bros Studios in London, where you can see the sets and objects of the films. New Zealand

New Zealand was the setting for the recording of entire the saga of the Lord of the Rings, there are so many stage places that it is almost impossible to visit all them all. Iceland

Also, the Jökulsárlon Lagoon has become one of the favorite scenarios for magical and science fiction movies, such as Batman Begins (2005). The secret life of Walter Mitty, by Ben Stiller (2013) was largely recorded in Iceland too, in places such as the Snaefells Peninsula, the Skógafoss waterfallVik, and the Vatnajökull National Park. Finally, to shoot the latest version of Journey to the center of the earth (2008) the chosen scenario was the famous Snæfellsjökull National Park.

Croatia

The popular city of Dubrovnik has been, for five seasons, the official throne of King’s Landing, from Game of Thrones. Dubrovnik has also seen some of the most shocking scenes of the new film of Star Wars “The Last Jedi.” Finally, the island of Vis has been chosen to record the second part of Mama Mia, which will be released this summer 2018.

Ireland

Ireland and its spectacular green landscapes have served as the setting for films such as the famous Braveheart (1995), which was filmed in Ireland, although many people think it was shot in Scotland. Curragh Plains, for example, was where the famous Battle of Stirling took place. Game of Thrones has also used places like Tollymore National Park (North Woods), Castle Ward (Winterfell) or Mussenden Temple and Downhill Beach (Dragonstone). Wicklow is the beautiful Irish town where the successful romantic comedy starring by Gerard Butler and Hilary Swank was filmed in 2007, P.S I Love You. Another romantic film that was completely filmed in Ireland, specifically in Dublin, is Once (2006) where you will recognize Grafton Street; the popular ‘Walton’s Music, on George’s Street; the charming Bruxelles restaurant on Harry Street; and the incredible Killiney Hill. Another of the recent successes has been the film Brooklyn (2015), based on the homonymous novel by the Irish writer Colm Tóibín, where at the beginning of the film you can recognise places like Enniscorthy in Wexford, and the beaches of Curracloe and Ballinesker.
